Optimize your working processes with Dimension4i
Dimension4i can be precisely configured . Dimension 4i takes into account that each person wants to optimize their working sequences using their own methods. You can therefore individually configure the Dimension4i. Assign the main functions of your working sequence to the buttons, decide how your display should appear and whether input via touchscreen, mouse or touchpen is the best for you.
A free PCI slot and five USB connections are available for your individual PC peripherals .
The easiest way to reach your goals quickly
The graphical user interface of the 15" touchscreen leads you step by step through the logical sequence of a measurement task , from setting up the measurement scenario to recording data and data analysis. The supplied software shortens the familiarization time, because being able to start tasks efficiently and rapidly means saving time, energy and money : The requirements for fast and long-term success on the market with your products.
Plug & Measure with TEDS support
Dimension4i supports TEDS, the electronic data sheet in the transducer . TEDS and Dimension4i means "Plug & Measure": Plug in and start measuring: A transducer cannot be configured more rapidly and easily than this!
For the highest of demands
The sampling rates of 1S/s to 200kS/s cover a wide range of tasks. Based on your task, a resolution of 24Bit or 16Bit is available. A detailed look at the frequency domain is provided by realtime FFT preprocessing. Two analog signal sources deliver a variety of signal forms , from sine to square, impulse series or various statistical signals such as white or pink noise.
Accuracy - fast, without interference, uncompromising
The integrated Sigma-Delta conversion has, in addition to the 24Bit resolution, the advantage of high accuracy. This type of conversion is fast and low in noise because the effective quantization noise is distributed across a wide frequency range. Dimension4i also uses the best characteristic of the Sigma-Delta converter … a special filter ensures that excessive ripple and overshooting during step-function responses no longer play a role. Dimension4i therefore delivers accuracy rapidly without interference and without compromise.
Digital realtime filter: Even noisy useful signals become visible
Useful signals are not always present in a pure form, they hide within noise or are subject to superimposed interference signals . Bandwidth is the critical factor with strong dynamic phenomena. The digital realtime filter in Dimension4i makes even noisy useful signals visible. Select the appropriate filter for each channel yourself.

Understanding generates knowledge
Some details hide in a frequency range that is important for a better understanding of the system being investigated. Measurement data are typically observed in the time range. Signal conditioning with FFT means that both time and frequency ranges can be examined. Various aspects can therefore generate an accurate overall picture . FFT is a valuable aid for vibration measurements and oscillation measurement technology.Dimension4i has a 32Bit digital signal process for rapid and accurate calculations so that realtime really does mean actual real time .
Modular - one device for numerous tasks
Specialized modules are available for the basic Dimension4i device. Efficiency is implementing numerous tasks with the same tool.
Short set up times with Plug & Play
Simple insert a different module in the Dimension4i and carry on measuring. Recalibration is superfluous as each module contains its own calibration data.
- Accelerometer module – optimal for transducers using the Piezo effect (ICP® Transducer, Integrated Circuit Piezoelectronic) as required for the recording of pressure, acceleration, mechanical stress or force .
- Isolation module – The right choice when accurate results are important, despite difficult test conditions in electromagnetically disturbed environments. The electrical isolation and differential input protect against unwanted interference and maintain accuracy.
Evaluation and data storage made easy
The options for further processing of collected data are as flexible as the measurement equipment itself. It is your decision whether to archive on a removable disk or DVD , or to send your data via Ethernet to a superordinate computer. The data management function sorts, searches, finds and exports data records in the current standard formats .

A special display technology accelerates your measurement task. Dimension4i includes specially designed hardware and software for immediate display of results. When recording longer test records you can already analyze and view your data while measurement and recording continue. Scroll through the recordings and view details with the zoom function.
Report generator: Information at a glance
The integrated report generator can output a summary based on screen bitmaps, meta-data and tabular setup summaries directly to a network or local printer for an initial overview.
Export into Excel , MS Word or PDF is also possible. The Perception Viewer software generates further analysis and specific reports. It can run either in the integrated Dimension4i PC or on an external PC. This allows large data volumes to be opened and viewed rapidly . Searches based on triggers, peak values, times or other criteria are just as easy as evaluations and calculations. The Perception Analyse option provides data analysis functions ranging from simple mathematical calculations to complex frequency analyses.
